Kiaora everybody!
Well a little diddy about Matt in Japan…just a Kiwi kid doin the best he caaan!! (ahem! Ahh thanks John Mellencamp. Dont know where that came from…)
Aaanyway, my sister helped me set this up before I left for Japan. Reason being, when I was doing my research on the internet trying to find experiences from people living in Oita, or actually anywhere in Japan, I found it difficult to find any viewpoints and experiences from an average Kiwi like myself, living in a very different world.
My posts are very much straight from the cuff and hopefully serve a twofold purpose -
1/ They are part of my therapy in trying to keep it together here!!!
2/ I wanted to make sure there is now some info on the web for average Kiwi blokes / girls / or anyone who is interested really!!!, in order to help them prepare for, or simply satisfy any curiosity via the interpretations of a culture about as opposite to mine as you could get!! (barring various African Zulu tribes and the like…!)
Anyway I appreciate everybody who takes the time to read my ramblings. Please send me comments! I will always try to reply to all of them!
